Hello Cubs, Kodiaks, Grizzlies and Bruins!
This past month of October, our social emotional learning (SEL) focus for the district was Self Management. Students and staff at each building made a Feel Good Plan. With the Feel Good Plan, students were encouraged to identify items, actions and thoughts that make them “feel good” during times of stress. Ask your student about their plan and encourage them to use it when stress levels rise!
This November, each building will examine positive relationships as we focus on Social Management. Showing respect to others and giving compliments is one useful tool to building positive relationships, both in person and digitally. This month students will practice Positive Bombardment. Each building has created a “positive bombardment” activity that matches the developmental level for each age group.
Have fun and remember to bombard someone with respect and compliments today and every day!!
