REMINDER: White Salmon Valley Schools 12:05 release Tues. - Friday this week.
Why does White Salmon rely on local levies? Local levies bridge the gap between government funding and the actual cost of school programs and maintenance. Local levy funds account for about 17% of the district’s general fund budget. Click the link for more information. https://5il.co/1mvl4

In just a few weeks White Salmon voters will receive ballots for the February 14 election. Two levies for White Salmon Valley Schools will be on the ballot: A replacement Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy and a Capital Levy.
The capital levy would support important maintenance for school buildings and 1:1 technology for students. Each student in our district is issued a Chromebook for their use during school and for homework. 1:1 technology enables teachers to use Chromebooks for lessons and activities that are more adaptive and give quicker feedback. These students are using their Chromebook to collect temperature changes of a chemical reaction over time. Throughout their school years students are taught safe use of Chromebooks and the internet, as well as presentation and word processing skills they need to be employable after high school.
More information about the levy can found here: https://www.wsvsd.org/o/wsvsd/page/levy-2023
